Reds captain to miss Aussie derby

The Queensland Reds will take on NSW Waratahs this weekend without the leadership of captain James Horwill.

Horwill’s ankle has healed slower than expected extending his lengthy lay-off. It’s likely that he will only again feature when the Reds host the Hurricanes in Brisbane next weekend.

Meanwhile Anthony Faingaa is to return to the starting line-up for this battle against the Waratahs on Saturday after overcoming a recent hand injury. He will replace Horwill as captain of the Reds.
