After losing to an electric Rebels side by 23 points to 30 in an excellent display of rugby so early on in the season the Force are upping the stakes by fielding a stronger squad to face the Southern Kings this coming Saturday.
The squad now includes Wallabies Nick Cummins (returning from hamstring injury), Matt Hodgson, Salesi Ma’afu and Hugh McMeniman (returning from a pectoral strain) who replaces Phoenix Battye.
The Force flew out of Melbourne for South Africa on Saturday and will face the Bulls at Loftus Versfeld the following Saturday.
Western Force squad:
Chris Alcock, Richard Brown, Nathan Charles, Sam Christie, Angus Cottrell, Pek Cowan, Nick Cummins, Patrick Dellit, Sias Ebersohn, Tetera Faulkner, Kyle Godwin, Jayden Hayward, Matt Hodgson, Kieran Longbottom, Toby Lynn, Salesi Ma’afu, Alfie Mafi, Alby Mathewson, Ben McCalman, Hugh McMeniman, Junior Rasolea, Mick Snowden, Winston Stanley, Heath Tessmann, Will Tupou, Sam Wykes.
The Kings will have their hands full looking at the intensity of Force v.s Rebels!
