Execution, temperament and discipline will dictate dominance in this crucial Aussie derby. Expect this match to be a contest of fine margins with few extended passages of attacking play. Ultimately defence will be key in this early season outing.
Betting: Outright: Brumbies 4/6 v.s 6/4
                Handicap: -3 v.s +3
So many unknowns. How will new players gel? How will old players settle? And early season fitness?
Its a tough ask beating the Brumbies away from home so early on in the season. It is however achievable considering the talent which the Reds have at their disposal. Crucially will the Reds’ goal-kicking shape having had no preseason match practise?
Upsets are easy to come by in early round Super Rugby matches but we’re leaning toward the Brumbies to edge it in a fiercely fought contest. Thus far the Reds are yet to stake their claim this season against a weak Blues outfit and against the Chiefs at home. To the kick-off and all that will follow!
Rip it boys. May the best team win!
